Titus Kautz recently graduated with a B.M. in Vocal Performance at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE. He studied voice with Dr. Jana Holzmeier and was highly involved in the NWU music department. Mr. Kautz held positions at NWU including Bass Section Leader of the University Choir and Vice-President of Mu Phi Epsilon Honorary Fraternity. Mr. Kautz was involved  in the University Choir, Touch of Class Jazz Choir, Men's Glee Chorus, and Recorder Ensemble at NWU. He also performed a number of roles in Nebraska Wesleyan’s annual opera productions and opera scenes; his most notable roles include Bruschino in Il Signor Bruschino and Sarastro in The Magic Flute. Mr. Kautz also accompanied for various rehearsals, voice lessons, musicals, and for the university’s madrigal group, the Chamber Singers.

 

Before transferring to NWU, Mr. Kautz earned an A.A. in Vocal Performance from Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, NE. While in attendance there, Mr. Kautz was active in the music department, participating in Collegiate Chorale, Varsity Vocalise Show Choir, Just Bluffin’ barbershop quartet, and accompanying for the women’s select ensemble Quintessence, as well as for numerous voice lessons and special events. He also held the position of Collegiate Chorale President during the 2010-2011 school year. Mr. Kautz was blessed to be chosen as the National Anthem soloist for a Colorado Rockies baseball game for two consecutive years.
