Karlene Grinberg graduated in 2012 from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater.  From her experiences as an undergraduate she is eager to begin a career in the performing arts and move to New York City in the fall of 2013.

Ms. Grinberg has participated in shows ranging from Stephen Schwartz’s musical Pippin to her role in Peter Weiss’s Marat/Sade where she played the role of a crazed, French singer/inmate.  She has been involved in other musicals such as James Rado and Gerome Ragni’s rock musical Hair as well as the 1930s based hit 42nd Street produced by David Merrick.  With regard to classic performances, she had the opportunity to play Shakespeare’s youthful Juliet, and when looking at more contemporary productions, she portrayed the role of Mimi Marquez in Jonathan Larson’s Rent.  At Nebraska Wesleyan, Grinberg has studied under the voice direction of Dr. Jana Holzmeier and worked with Dr. William Wyman in both the Nebraska Wesleyan University Choir and Chamber Singers.  With the University Choir she was fortunate to perform in a world premiere of Stephen Paulus's "To Be Certain of the Dawn" in Madison, WI, as well as in a performance of Mozart's Requiem directed by the renown conductor Philippe Entremont with the Munich Sypmonhy at the Lied Center in Lincoln, NE.
