Jesse Wohlman is a 2013 graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music.  He has been an active member of the University Choir and the Chamber Singers, both under the direction of Dr. William A. Wyman, since entering Nebraska Wesleyan University in the fall of 2009.  Mr. Wohlman has been involved in the Opera Workshop and Opera productions at Nebraska Wesleyan University, playing such roles as Mr. Gobineau in Menotti's The Medium to the title role of Mozart's Don Giovanni, Gaudenzio in Rossini's Il Signor Bruschino.  Along with performing, Mr. Wohlman has also composed music for theater productions at Nebraska Wesleyan, including Next Fall by Geoffrey Nauffts and Mother Courage by Bertold Brecht.

Through the coursework offered at Nebraska Wesleyan University and performance opportunities, Mr. Wohlman has gained a fond appreciation for German Lieder of the early to middle Romantic periods, and wishes to research, interpret, and perform the lieder of such composers as Franz Schubert and Carl Loewe. He has also found interest in the musical relationship between the Ottoman Empire and Europe from the 17th to the 19th century. Mr. Wohlman hopes to eventually continue his studies in vocal performance and musicology at the graduate level.
